I need a floor jack for Christmas!

So... I decided to change the oil in my car sunday. I was trying to figure out a new way to do it so that the front end was raised up a bit more so I could be sure to get all that dirty oil out, and to give me a bit more room under there. I tried to drive up on some cement blocks, but that didn't work. So then I thought I would drive down in the ditch and part way up the other side, and do it that way. I got halfway up the other side of the ditch... put it in gear, pulled the emergency brake and got out. I could hear the brakes creaking like it was gonna break free any second and roll backwards. I thought about putting something behind the back tires to block it, but then I had an image of me being rushed to the hospital in the back of an ambulance. I thought... "you know, no matter how I try to do this in the ditch, it just seems like a really bad idea all the way around."

I pulled the car out of the ditch and changed it on flat ground. It was a tight fit and I may still have a little bit of sludgy crap still in there, but so what... sludgy crap is better than a crushed sternum.

Okay... got a little bit "gushy". So what

I can't get over how cool it is that "Broken Wind" will be screened soon. I am really psyched about this whole deal. I have seen just a few various scenes, and am so impressed with everyone's performances. I am constantly amazed at the caliber of talent in our little area.

You know... if it weren't for the company and the opportunity it affords me to show off every once in a while, and the incredible friends that I have because of the company... I probably would have gone stark raving mad some time ago. Almost every great thing that has happened in my adult life has been a result of being a part of this wonderful group. Because of the company, I have been able to develop my performing skills to a level far beyond my wildest dreams... I have met amazing people from all walks of life... I re-met my beautiful wife... and so many more things it would be impossible to list them all.

I think all of us who are involved in the company owe Don a great big "Thank You"! For starting it... for recognizing talent... and for creating an environment so conducive to extraordinary creativity, yet so grounded that we all feel like a family.
