Family update

This is our latest pic. We've been experimenting with light. Zane calls this picture "floating heads". Business is good. We have started doing more senior portraits in addition to all the weddings we are doing. Life is good too. The kids are all doing well in school and in life. Lisa decided to go deer hunting with the van a couple weeks ago. Everybody is alright... except for the deer, and the van... but it's getting fixed in a couple days. We are hoping to move to a bigger house sometime in the coming year, and moving north of here about a half mile. We have a place all staked out up on the hill. The way interest rates for home loans are falling, it may happen soon. We will also be putting up a separate building for a studio so we will have more than a ten square foot space to do inside portraits. I'm missing being on stage but with Don gone from the Depot, I kind of lost interest. Probably a good thing it happened when it did, as I had already decided to take a break from acting until MoonStar is better established. So far, Photography is filling the creative thirst in me that performing usually takes care of.

Anyone who still checks in here, be sure and email or keep in touch somehow. I know Marcilee still checks in once in a while. I talked to her Mom not too long ago and she said Marci and Nick are doing real good. I looked up Nick on IMDB and then visited his site. Pretty cool. It's nice to see someone from SW Kansas doing so well out there. I always thought that I would end up out there too, but life took a different turn. Who knows what will happen after the kids are grown and on their own though. I may make it as a working actor yet.

I will try to post more often for those of you who still blog and check blogs.

Life is good...

Jeez!! Finally, I'm back online. I have been without a computer for a couple weeks now. Thanks to my buddy Frankie J. for getting me straightened out... computer wise that is.

So much going on. The business has skyrocketed. We are getting more and more bookings every day. Neither one of us thought that we would be this busy this fast. Makes me wish we had thought of it years ago. It would have saved both of us a lot of job related stress... especially for me over the last year.

Here is the link to our website just in case you have not visited yet.

Gotta get to bed now. Early work day tomorrow. How about that... I'm finally in a position to not have to work a nine to five job, and It turns out that I actually found a job that I like. Go figure! Oh well. It's part time. Perhaps that's part of the reason I like it so much.

Hi

I really gotta be better about posting stuff. So much has happened in the last year. I thought for a while... "what's the point, nobody checks the blog anymore". But, I know that's not true cause I see new comments every now and then. I also check in with Joe and pinky's blogs every once in a while. You know, it's not because I don't have anything to say. In fact, I have more going on in my life now then I probably ever have. I think it's a matter of time. And now that I say that, that's not really true either. We make time for the things that are important. So, am I saying that what I have to say is not important?? No.

I used to think that the best part of keeping a blog, was so that all your friends and family could keep up with what is going on. Well, this evening I looked back at all my posts and realized that just by reading what I'd written two years ago, I could remember everything that was going on in my life at that particular time. So, now I think that the coolest thing about the blog, is just keeping a record of life... not only for me, but for my kids too. Sure, I could keep a journal, but we spend so much time on the computer these days, that it's just easier to keep it online.

So, I am making a solid vow right now to post something at least once a week. Even if it's just getting on and saying "Hi". Having said that, I think maybe it's time to get to bed. Lisa and I are shooting a wedding in Oklahoma tomorrow. So, goodnight... talk to ya again next year.

Dude... I'm not kidding. Big tornado headin' this way!!

REO in Greensburg

What a day. Any day that starts with seeing REO Speedwagon in concert, is a good day. We went to Greensburg this morning for the concert. What a great time we had. Those guys rocked. The years have definitely been good to them. I was transported right back to my freshman year in High School. Here is a picture...

Just re-living a bit of my past...

I've been looking through some old pictures I scanned from Dad's house a couple months ago. This one is of me and my Mom. She didn't smile a lot, so it's nice to find a picture where she looks so happy... and it makes me feel good that it was with me in her arms.
